The 8" high cylinder raises the seat to 18–25.6" — the right range for elevated work surfaces and height-adjustable desks. Same weight-sensitive recline as the chair. Same mesh back. The Humanscale World LM Task Stool is not that.

Designed by Niels Diffrient, the same person behind the Humanscale Freedom chair. The World LM Stool uses the same tri-panel mesh backrest and weight-sensitive recline as the task chair version. When you lean back, it moves with you. No levers. No knobs. It reads your body weight and adjusts. At a sit-stand desk where you're constantly shifting position, that's not a minor detail.

The 8" high cylinder raises the seat to 18.1"–25.6", which covers the working range for most sit-stand desks and elevated surfaces. Not a bar stool. Not a counter stool. A real ergonomic task seat that happens to be taller.

Every KCOD version ships with adjustable Duron arms/armless and soft casters, no configuration decisions you'll second-guess later. Pick your frame color (Black or Gray) and seat material. That's it.

Humanscale World Chair Warranty

Humanscale provides a 12-year, on the World Chair’s structural and mechanical components, including the recline system, frame, arm mechanisms, seat pan, and cylinder. This ensures long-term performance in both commercial and home office environments.

In addition, Humanscale covers upholstery, mesh, foam cushions, arm pads, casters, and wood elements for 5 years, reflecting the natural wear associated with these materials.
